In The Window: New Tapes!
I started (or maybe renamed) a new thing on the blog called “In The Window” - inspired by the old days of walking by the record store to see what was new in the window or on the shelf.
A few new music releases I found (with tapes available of course), start with:
Nilufer Yanya: My Method Actor
Dirt Sucker: At The Landfill
Smush: If You Were Here I’d Be Home Now
Heavy In The Heartland - Indiana Metal Comp
Those were some of the new tapes I found thumbing through the Bandcamp bins this week. I'll have some more next Tuesday or on the blog for the rest of the week.
I Learned Tape Player Things
While it may be a little dry, there’s great info if you’re wondering about the mechanics of a tape deck, what to look for if you want to buy a new one, and the best way to play back your tapes:
Of the many things I learned while watching the video, I now know there is a website called Tapeheads and it has all kinds of things, including a forum and I probably don’t need to start one at The Tape Player anymore.
Welp that was fun. Enjoy your tapes this week and I’ll talk to you later.
